Ready for a French holiday

I've been feeling a major Brigitte Bardot in St. Tropez inspiration lately. Bébé and I are due for a mommy and me dress up day today. Maybe I'll get a post up finally!

I'm at my wit's end today with this dreary weather as I cycle repeatedly through manic-depressive states of boredom and work. So what is one to do but to shop on J. Crew online. I've had a freebie J Crew coupon sitting around that was expiring today. As I browsed the site, I found myself unusually attracted to stripes and realized as I glanced at my closet, I am going stripe happy. Spring cannot come any sooner.

In the works

February was a slow month work wise but I've been supremely busy with my new project! I've been working fervently on my new venture - my own resortwear line. This blog has always been intended as a creative outlet and it has majorly helped me focus my creative energies into launching my own company again. Up until now, it was impossible to allocate any time or energy outside of taking care of my baby girl and our own business. But now that she is growing ever more independent, I can get back to work. I make a wonderful entrepreneur but a terrible homemaker. For months our housecleaning, dishes, and dinners have been sorely neglected. In fact, hubz is becoming quite the adroit house husband, with his ever increasing french and italian culinary  meals he's had to whip up because so often I'd be in a catatonic state from sleep deprivation and baby screaming over-stimulation.
So I envy the ladies who actually get to return to work after 4-6 months. I say 4-6 because I cannot imagine how anyone can regain their sanity going back to work after only 3 months. I was only starting to sleep more than 2 hours at a time back then!

I spent adult time yesterday with my dear friend HK, and it was such a breath of fresh air to experience some social interaction and a touch of normalcy. In fact, she has offered to model my new creations back in her native lalaland - which would be parfait for my jetset tropical/travel inspired lifestyle brand. St. Medusa to launch in 4 weeks. Until then... a bientot!
