Oktoberfest in tartan and feathers

The cold weather has given me a craving for hearty fall meals - roasts, squash, stews and sausage. This particular day, it was all about sausage and dark beer at Black Forest Inn. Although, I had an immense craving for bratwurst and sauerkraut, I saw the pickled herring dish and had to try it. I've never had it before and am glad I did - love trying new things.

Lately I've been building a collection of vintage pieces for my wardrobe like this black marabou jacket. It's feather light yet perfectly warm for a crisp fall day. Paired here with J. Brand Houlihan pants and a sheer tartan top.
